Lomenú was a mobile-first platform created by binomads. which aggregated restaurants and their detailed menus.
Unlike other platforms online, Lomenú allowed end users to focus on the gastronomic experience, concretely the menu, its dishes, ingredients and prices. But, most importantly, they were also able to find restaurants by searching for food names, dishes or ingredients.
This became one of the first binomads.’ ideas boostrapped.
Searching from the menu outward
Most restaurant directories start with a venue name, location or cuisine. lomenú put the menu closer to the center of discovery. A person could search for a dish or ingredient and then find a restaurant serving it, with prices and menu details available before visiting. The map shown in the image connected those results to nearby places.
The project was an early bootstrapped idea from binomads.. This page preserves the product concept and the original interface rather than claiming that the service is still active. Other experiments from that period appear in the projects archive.
